General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

I dont know about that, if you spent 68K to get it moding it would be (small) drops in a bucket.

5K in mods is nothing after spending 68k

The I6 is in my blood now but Toyota rocks.

I've seen a whole whoppin 2 of the V-10 diesels. I would love to have one.
I'm doing everything I can to convert all my cars to diesel.
I recently found a 84 Toyota PU with a 2.4 Diesel in it so I snatched that baby up tossed on a turbo and a bunch of gauges, hopefully be driving it soon.

I agree. I loved all my old toyota crawlers...

That's a good find on the toy diesel. I'd die to have one of those, just to say I owned it!!

A WV mechanic told me that there is no belt on these engines. All accessories
(AC, power steering, alternator, water pump) are internally gear driven off of the cam or crank. He also said something about dual oil pumps or oil pick-ups,
one in the front of the pan and one in the rear??
If this thing breaks down you better have deep pockets but, I am also a huge VW fan. (note Signature)
