The use truck market seems to be a tad bit slow ... I have been trying to sell my 01 Ford ... It's a good truck when it's not at the dealer ...LOL The waranty runs out at the end of this year and since I have had the truck ... I just did the average mile per visit ... 2300 miles ...Thats like 30 times my truck has been back to the dealer ... they should have thrown in a oil change every time had to drop it off it would have saved me time ...LOL
I have my new to me 2wd Dodge and I love the truck ...I have done a lot of maintance type things to the truck ...I am a retired wench ... I still have urge to tinker .
I did post the truck on a few site's ... no one seems to be spending to much money these ...thats understandable ... I have yet to take the truck up to the dealer and see what they would trade it for ...I'm figuring around 20grand ...If I strip the tractor wheels and just put 35's that I have mounted on the stock wheels ... they look good ...
I don't know how bad the dealers want to move the trucks these days ... I do want to buy a duelly 4x4 ... I don't like the look of the bed on the mega duelly .
Any one trade anything latelly and how bad is the new truck market ... I will proibly wait till the new year before I make a move ...
My other option is to strip it .... soo much work ... and trade it or put a cummins in it ... 8.3 would be the motor .

yea i know what you are talking about i have been trying to sell my 2001 3500.. my prob is 3500s are not a wanted truck in my area so that makes it even harder...

 

Seems like a LOT of people are keeping their purse strings closed right now.
A lot of high dollar stuff on eBay isn't getting ANY bids.
RV sales have stagnated. Ditto with boat sales.
Truck dealers are overflowing with used trucks traded in on the recent employee pricing campaign, and aren't giving squat for used truck trades right now.
Private used truck sales have stagnated, as mentioned above.

Who says the economy is booming? Where, exactly?

I'm looking to trade on an '06, but will wait till next spring when the rebates are (hopefully) better, and the trade in prices aren't down in the bargain basement.
