I had a F-150 that had a F-250 badge on it and the dreaded 7 lug wheels...

That was easy to get parts for!

Thats why chrysler killed the orginal Hemi in the late 50s. They said that they would save $25 per motor with the wedge head desgin. Speculation is that they didn't save any money and it actually cost a little more for the wedge heads.

Don't get me started on some of the B.S. I see designed into vehicles. I will agree it is probably related to the bean counters. But how do you justify changing a part that has worked for years and has had a very low failure rate compared to other designs of competing brands. They come up with some new way of doing it and it SUCKS!
