Turbo boost increase vs. h.p./torque
I'm looking for estimates on h.p. and torque gain per pound of boost pressure increase.
I have an HY35W to bolt on to my 4BT with Bosch 190's and would like to estimate the h.p. and torque increases I should see over the stock H1C.
I'm looking for estimates assuming no radical changes to the injection settings.
My goal is power with best efficiency, not smoke.

That's going to be tough to estimate and inaccurate at best... a big aftermarket turbo at 35PSI is a lot different than a stock HY35 at 35psi. This is because the smaller turbo is working "harder" to make that boost and the problem is, increased intake air temps... sorry if that's not much help.

Thanks Dieselgeek. Not sure what you mean by bigger turbo. My stock H1C is bigger yet it will not outperform the Hy35W. Is the working harder mean not able to spin up as easy?
