The chev was probably also in 4wd. Its obvious that the ford wasn't, seeing as the back was spinning all to hell, and the front was just free wheeling. No tire smoke from the dodge though, so who knows.

I seen this video
it was a bunch of PURDUE school boys having fun. Seems to me it was way to biased. I too wouldnt mind hookin against this gasser, low to low range. Lets see what 900 plus ft lbs to 600 does... BUT i need some weight due to his double traction in the rear..

I watched this video several time and have came to these conclusions..
Im almost 100% positive All the trucks are in high range in 2wd.
All trucks are automatics
The Dodge took off, and was just starting to pull the chevy, and you can hear the guy let off the throttle a little and the chevy starts slowly moving him back. The Dodge was starting to pull it, and the guy driving it had to let off to make the chevy look good After he was getting pulled back, he let off the throttle, and it barked the turbo, and the truck died.
The Ford just didnt have enough traction, or low end to get the D-Max moving first. When the turbo finally spooled enough to get the engine into a little power, it broke the tires loose.

Well for one, they should have had them all the same cab type and box length.
In the first pull, it looks like the Dodge got it off the line but then the Chevy pulled it right back. In the second one, the Chevy got it off the line and there was no way the Ford could get any traction.
If anything the truck with the sticker/softer tires won. I would have liked to the see the Ford vs the Dodge though.
