Truck bed swimming pool question...
#18
One of the teams at our local BBQ cookoff did this for a couple of years. The first year, they just used a 1/2 ton chevy with no blocks or anything under the back...definitely not well planned out, although it did give them a shallow end and a deep end.
The other years they upgraded to a 3/4 ton and would block the rear end to keep the weight off the suspension. They were heating water over their fire, so it was a true "hot" tub. I kept waiting for the air compressor to show up one year to add some redneck jets.

Dude around here used to do that to fill up his air mattress when he went camping. I "used to" because the mattress had a slow leak and one time he never woke up. Took LE a lot of head scratching to figure out how he died.

Well the pool was a hit! Best idea I've had in a long time haha. I took 6, 55 gallon drums down with me and used a gas powered pump to pump them out into my truck. It worked perfect. And then came the unload... I wanted to pump out the bed but my gf insisted on dropping the tailgate... I warned her if she let my tailgate slam open I was going to be ticked! But it worked out well. I'll try to attach some pics. Sorry didn't get a video of the unload.
