Transmission & TC questions

I'm having my transmission rebuilt with what I'm told is all the good stuff I want to make it last longer and take more power but I can't say I really have a good understanding of what I'm paying for. Maybe someone can explain with small words for me.

The old torque converter is being replaced with a triple disc model. The stall speed on the new one is different than the old.

My questions:

Does triple disc mean more fins or somehow more area for the discs to impinge on the oil and transfer power to the driven disc? I guess that would mean less potential for slippage when high torque is applied. Right?

I think the stall speed refers to the RPM where the TC will quit just churning the fluid and grab so hard that the enging will stall if the wheels are locked. Is that right? So my higher performance TC will have a lower stall speed than the factory one, is that right?

The other part I don't quite get is the valve body modifications. I think of the valve body as an analog computer that uses hydraulic fluid. The "software" is in the force of the springs and the paths for the fluid. So, what is the different behavior that my better/stronger transmission will have compared to my old stock one?

Anyone want to take on these questions?
