I disagree somewhat, I read either in consumer reports or JD Powers that Toyota quality was at its lowest in 1998 (still much better than others) and that today their quality is second to none. I've had an 88, 90, 98 and driven them to death without a problem. I knew that when I bought them that they should be a good vehicle and they were, but I also knew that when I went to sell them people would still pay top dollar for them , and they did. All 3 sold for above KBB value. It's hard to unload most any other car (especially domestic ones) after they are more then 4 or 5 years old even below book value. I know there are exceptions to everything, but on the whole they have a reputation because they have earned it. Same way with Cummins. I know this is an arguement that can't be won, and I'm not out to change anyones mind, but there is just a mountain of evidence that says Toyotas are outstanding and very, very little evidence to indicate that they are not.

They sure do. I personally don't think there is much if any difference between the quality of a Honda and a Toyota. I have owned a few Hondas as well and they have been great. I just wish they would make a real truck instead of this little subaru brat looking thing they are going to release. God knows their 4 wheelers have all the repect in the world, even from die-hard rednecks . Seems like they could do well with a real 1/2 ton truck. Americans want huge, powerful trucks and until Japan figures that out they will be taking a back seat in the full size market.

Never tried to buy a used one, but will eventually sell mine. Cummins is responsible for the resale, not dodge. Throw a gasser in that baby and see what she'll bring.
