Who cares about the commercial being real or fake. That truck is unbelievable. The crew cab has more interior room than a Mega-Cab. The components are heavy duty caliber. 0-60 in 6.2. 14.8 qtr. mile run stock. 10200 tow capacity. 2000 payload. Outstanding build quality. With the price of diesel these days (the tree huggers have beaten the diesel industry up), this truck looks to be the Daddy Rabbit. I keep vehicles for at least 7 years and have no plan to get a new one but if I were to get a new one today this would without question be 1st choice.

You could probably get that Ram for about $31k (38k - 5k rebate - some more money off) and the Tundra for about $32k, but I imagine pricing will get a little more competitive since they want more market share

Last week while my wife’s Sebring was being serviced, I took a close look at the new Tundra I Force truck with 4.7L, 271 HP and 313 TQ; Auto, 4x4, 4 door with room for 5 passengers. I will say it did have a little more room for a longer legged person. But if you have bigger feet or had snow boots on like I did the day I looked it over there is not much room for your foot on the right side of the gas pedal. It has maybe a bit more foot room then my old 2002 Dakota had but not much. I also did not like the center consol being up so high off the floor in between the front seats.
I also noticed it was rated to tow up to 7800 Lbs, it did have stock 18 inch tires and it had computer assisted brakes The EPA mileage was 15-mpg City and 18-mpg Hwy. It had a MSRP of $33.903.00. I think it was a bit to high priced being I could buy from the same dealer and on the other side of there lot a 2007 Dodge 2500 W/CTD, SLT, 4x4, QC, SB, with Auto for $34,480 We all know that the CTD should get as good or better MPG then the Toyota Tundra I Force with 4.7L engine; not to mention it can it can tow more and will out last the Toyota.
My $0.02

You can get a Ram 1500 SLT 4x4 Hemi quadcab for about 25k here...not 31k. You can get Mega 1500 4x4 SLT's for 30k

I am not saying it is a better truck than a Cummins powered Ram. I am saying it is better than a 1500 Hemi Ram.
Go drive one, they are nice trucks. I just took one for about a 100 mile test drive yesterday and I was quite impressed. I am still looking between those and a CTD Ram, but am undecided with my lack of heavy (usually not over 5k) pulling and the price of diesel.
Oh, and I wanted to add no offense to anyone, I am not trying to start anything. After reading this, I was worried someone might take it the wrong way. I loved my Ram, but this new Tundra is sweet. The best 1/2 ton hands down (not comparing to 3/4 & 1 ton)

06Dually: That is one heck on deal (on all 3 trucks). Since you are in SD, I bet it was real easy for you to get a good deal. I live in OH and I don't know how my wife would feel about driving home from their.
Thanks for the heads up. Do you know what the "extra 1500 off if you qualify" is about? (I am looking at their ad on their website)

when i was home in tx this jan, me and my brother were getting his gf's oil changed and a sequoia(i think) was there w/ the 5.7L in it. i was amazed as well as to how much room was available to work on the engine. it reminded me of our '68 f100 4wd w/ 360, 4spd on the floor.......

Err.. correction. Diesel was cheaper then gasoline before G bush's proposition in the middle east that is consuming MASSIVE quantities of diesel on a daily basis.
Can't wait to go test drive the Crew Max. C'mon Toyota, bring on the diesel

Fellers - I used to work for the Toyota Technical Center, in Ann Arbor, MI. I will tell you from my experience, that the Japanese are deadly serious in beating the big 3. If they thought it would take a Samarai going into Ford Headquarters to beat Ford at their own game (trucks), every 12 year old boy in Japan would have started training 10 years ago for a shot at the honor of being chosen.
Fellers, they ain't playing around. Bill Ford, Jr. or whatever his name is, has already lost even if he took his head out of his rear right now. They're coming. That Tundra is already here. And as for a gas truck, it'll whoop the big 3 in every aspect, except maybe looks. I'm kind of partial on the Chibby looks. Trust me guys, from my experience working side-by-side with the Japanese. They look at EVERYTHING. And want every thing they design to be better than the rest.
As for a 2500 / 3500 diesel. I wouldn't be surprised to see one coming, but I do feel its 3 or more years coming. It will require major design on their part. They'll probably hand at least the chassis & drivetrain over to Hino, and those guys know how to make trucks.
I like the new Tundra, but it's too much of a monetary liability for me. My truck is paid for, nothing's wrong with it, and every now and then, it makes me a couple thousand. So, happily in the stable it stays.
