Took a GM & Ford to get me out
Buried the left side of my truck in the driveway which after all this moisture turned into a mud bog. After a day of digging in glue I called a tow truck. ( I really need a 4x4, ...and am working on it ) A good ole GM comes up to the high side to line up behind me, he puts in reverse and snaps a hard part in the trans...he's done...called his boss who pulls up in a Ferd powerstroke (which he hates...costing him $$$ to keep running ) ....to pull me out and yank the GM back to the garage....oops..
After poking a wheel barrow full of mud from the suspension I flung mud down the highway to the car wash and spent a small fortune spraying gumbo from the undercarriage....all OK.

I know how ya feel.
Back in November, I pulled onto a grassy spot after a week of rain. My plan was to keep moving,,,,,,,, but had to stop for just a second,,,,,,,,, too late. Front wheels sunk down about only 2" and the back ones just sat there and spun. Level ground and I couldn't go nowhere! : A fellow worker came along and offered to give me a pull with his F-150 4x4. I accepted and then he preceded to tell me he had done the same thing in his own driveway with the street tires that were on his truck. Took me a while to live that one down.

A good neighbour thought he would try with his yuppie mobile...a crispy new Nissan Pathfinder...not a bit of dirt on it......I really didn't want to see him hurt his truck, and after one little grunt from his grinder...which didn't even break his own tires loose...I thanked him and gave in and called recovery...

Yup, almost 1 year ago had to have a F150 yank me out of some bumper deep gumbo.
And I do mean YANK, broke my 9,000lb tow strap 3 times before I got out.
(left over from the Toyota : )
Front bumper deep, back wheels just sat on top and spun, one at a time.
Stock tires, no limited slip, 4X4 pretty much useless, and my oh my, aren't our front ends heavy ;D.
This year, same spot, going to try again with better tires, winch, 30,000 lb tow strap, and I'll have a shovel with me as well, and a CB just in case, don't wan't that 3 mile hike again.
Even though he drove a Ford, he was a really nice guy.

Re:Took a GM & Ford to get me out
Backed a load of dirt up to a grave to fill it in and the wall caved in a little which put my rearend in the grave. front wheels of truck were 2' off the ground. It took a case 450 dozer to pull me out. I tried with a 1486 0r 56 IH tractor but it did not do the job.
DM01
