sudden power loss, 12 valve
I need help diagnosing a sudden loss of power on my 12 valve. Driving home from work today , the go peddle went dead. No smoke, no exhaust heat, low boost. Idles smooth & sounds normal. the first thing I did was change the fuel filter , it had no effect. thanks, doug

do you mean the pedal does not work anymore? if so check out the ball joint on the linkage. if it just seems real week when you give it fuel, check out your afc and make sure it is working.

they wanted $400
The solenoid plunger connection to the pick up rod failed. So I drilled a 1/8 inch hole in the plunger ( man thats some hard steel !!! )& inserted a drift pin to catch the linkage rod. DC redesigned the solenoid probably because of the failure I experienced, and they wanted $400 bucks for it. I would have hooked up manual choke cable to it if my fix didn't work. doug
