Evenin, fellas.

One of my tires separated from the belt yesterday, so I had to take the wife's 08 hemi mega to San Diego today... Man, that thing is a dog. I think the hemi is a good motor, but not in a 3/4 ton mega. It was a mean machine in our 03 quad cab, but I got 15 mpg today, and my truck would have gotten 22 at least, on 37's....

I feel cheated. If I were irresponsible, I'd go trade it for a Cummins. But, I'm within a year of paying it off, and I love the truck besides the fuel mileage.

time for a motor swap! cheaper than buyin a new one and think of the bomb party that could be had.

It would be a bit of work, but it should not be too hard. I'll need an engine and tranny, ECM, probably some front end work...

Or... I could just swap my truck into it, put her hemi in my truck.... nah.

 

it would be easy once you got the parts lined up. you will need the headlight to dash harness, trans/t-case harness, battery box's, engine, adapter plate, engine mounts, radiator (i have one for ya), intercooler, ecm, fuel lines (make your own), fuel tank.

the list grows.

 

Yeah, I kinda have an idea. My truck is 4wd, hers it 2wd...
