Stacks

I'm not putting stacks on or anything.....yet
But I was wondering what people liked more and who better to ask?
So what do you think is better
duals or single stacks?

I like the dual flat stacks just behind the cab, level with the cab.
For singles, right through the hood.

I'm going to do a single 5'' turnout. It's tougher to pull off stacks on a first gen, especially a single rear wheel. I'll be able to replace the 90 through the bed with a 'T' when I have the $ for the extra stack and the 'T'---those things are pricey. I want stacks 'cause it's not loud enough, but that's just me. I waited a long time to have that inline 6 just a bellerin' away and I don't want to miss a second of it!

flappers make too much noise at 55 and above
used to have one on single stack go duals and make your own "y"

personally I think dual stacks look better. I'm looking at getting 5" flat black stacks for my truck.

duals duals duals. oh did i mention get dual stacks? check out my set up in my gallery. got a 4''x6''x1/4'' steel and boxed the ends. cut a hole out for the exhaust to come into it and cut 2 holes in to it for the stacks. splits pretty evenly. ive seen flappers for miters. need to get somethin to keep out the rain. i dont really want to have to stick a can over both of em every time it rains. oh and make sure to get dual stacks.

Original stack setup

Now

They do have a bit of a rattle going down the road, but having a club cab, it realy isn't noticeable, unless driving with the windows down, or in town.

My caps only make noise sitting still. I have no noticable difference when moving. I'll try to get some pics up.

Whenever I do decide to do stacks, it will be duals, with the rain flappers. Hmmm, i can just hear it now ... tink, tink. If I didn't do the flappers, then I would go with the turnouts pointed straight back.

Stack setups all depend on what truck they are going on. To me there is no one style of stack that looks good on every truck. For my truck, i think a single turnout or dual mitres, both level with the cab, or just slightly higher would look good. I dont really care a lot for dual turnouts on most trucks, but some look ok. Like i said. It just all depends.
