The only thing I've seen VT365's in is rollback wreckers. Saw one a few months ago white smoking and sounding like it was running on 4 or 5 holes. I don't think the 6.0's problems are all Ford's fault.

I did a little more poking aound and it sounds like the tow trucks and school buses that use them have similar injector/leak/turbo/head gasket issues. It's not all Ford's fault - but they could have refused to buy it. They probably would have lost less money paying the emission penalties on the 7.3 than they have in paying for warranty work and buybacks on the 6.0.

I don't think it's that ugly.
I kind of like it.
And I can't wait to see the performance that is going to be able to be squeezed out of the twins. Does anybody have any specifications on what kind of turbo's they're going to be? Ford's probably going to make them about 5 times as complex as needed, and between wastegate settings and variable geometry/ variable vane controls I'm sure that they're going to be capable of being tuned to massive power rather eaisily. Not saying that they're going to actually function for long, but they're going to be making power for the first few miles at least.
And TWIN TURBO's is the greatest marketing ploy EVER in the Diesel market. As long as they don't have serious reliability issues, which isn't too far fetched, I'd expect market forces to force Chrysler and GM to start using twins within a few years.
Does Cummins have any twins experience?
