ok ive done a little bit more thinking, ive decided it just about has to be in the stack itself, perferably close to the tip. so disregard my last comment. but i will replace it with a new one, how close would it have to be to the tip of the stack to get 3 to 4 foot flames? (maybe not that high, but close )

Well see how how it will shoot flames outside the stack, measure them and then subtract the 3-4 feet and mount them that far down in the stack??

you could not do that outside the stack because the fuel would dispurse and go all over the place. and thus not giving you how far the flame would shoot upwards

Thanks alot phox

rebal, them are the old time flamethrowers. they kill the motor and pump extra gas through the engine and ignites the unburnt fuel. Im lookin for a set up that will inject and ignite the fuel. I figured that id build my own set up, if i cant find one.

Could you use that just to get your spark? Somebody mentioned nitrous solenoids earlier, seems like you could wire them to release together. But it seems like you would need one of those flamethrower modules just for a spark trigger since it's not a simple as hooking a coil up to spark plugs...

nah ill make my own for $45. I think thats a little steep being as how i can do something similar that will work, for cheaper. The guys on here talking about the RV furnace ignitor would be simpler. needa check into that avenue before ordering some kit. You know that they are makin money off of em. So if i can cut him outta the deal and make my own itll be cheaper. Also gotta deside on the fuel. propane??

That would be cool! When I'm out playing with my oxy-acc setup the acc flame is way bright! That will definately draw attention. Man I cant believe I completely forgot about that. However, I'm not too fond of keeping a bomb in the truck.......er a non performance bomb However with propane a good reason to do propane injection while your at it.

ok so yall didnt catch that.......... well maybe some of yall did but you didnt say anything. i took the oily 2x4 idea and tweaked it a little. Instead its a 1x1 with a rag nailed to it soaked in diesel. then lit it with a torch. i figured somebody woulda said something....................................

edit : ive got another pic of it comming
