That truck was at the Central Texas Dyno. Rolled a best of 782HP. Based on his time, speed, and weight that 782 is WAY low. Actually ran a 11.1, his personal best to date.

That truck has made A LOT of ls-x, Vettes, Vipers, and stangs scratch their heads.

That dragster was set up TOTALLY wrong. Those guys had ZERO clue about tuning a mechanical pumped motor. Like you said, one guy was busy talking about chipping a 12V . Here is a clue dragster boys,.......If you don't know something, don't show the whole world...........find the right people and ask questions. 95% will help you beyond your expectations.

P.S. It would not hurt to mention said persons names to others when bragging about what you are trying to achieve.

BeerRam305, if it was the silver, single cab, 4x4, then it is an automatic. Full Suncoast build, manual valve body, no billet inside (cost to much ).

He does not make hi boost launches, but forgetting to MANUALLY drop down to first gear will kill a tranny every time. Third gear launches WILL kill things.

It does get tough to keep things separate just looking at Dodge only, but if he has been a tech on anything he should know better. I bet it was EFI Live on that 12V though.

Yeah, I think the EFI Live automatically adjusts the fuel plate on the 12V...

i have never laughed so hard before in my life(well not in his face)

this guy was trying to tell me you could put a programmer on a 12 valve, but not just one, two!!!

i think that all people who sell diesel products should at least know what can and can't be done!!!

p.s. this guy said he was a tech for texasdieselpower out of weatherford i believe

i catch lotta people "lying" to get sales. only real dur person i met was a car salesman when i was lookin for my 04 when i bought that. I told him maybe a slightly used dodge or chevy diesel as well as the new 04. he showed me a 99 chevy crew cab. Nice truck ( thought the outside was ugly always have) but on the window it said diesel. his pitch to me was. Well if your lookin for room and power we have a very slightly used 99 chevy 2500 over where with the duramax diesel best diesel in the class. I was like well guess im not buying from here:P

I understand that some people's egos just can't handle three simple words: "I don't know." But why lie? I mean, if you don't know, then tell someone and at least they'll respect your honesty.

Not to toot my own horn, but I've learned a TON in the last 5 years or so on this site and TDR. I'm still far from being an expert. I can't even say that I'd know enough about these trucks to be able to own or run a diesel performance business. That's just the CTDs-- never mind the D-max and strokes.

Yet there seem to be plenty of folks that believe that subscribing to a diesel magazine a reading a few internet posts make them qualified to run a diesel business.

Now you can learn a lot from the internet. But to run a business, you need to stop reading and start doing. That's what sets apart the "Real deal" guys like Idaho CTD, John P, Jetpilot, Xlr8r (and the many others I'm omitting-sorry) from the internet hacks like me.

I'm fairly confident that I can give reasonable advice on this internet forum based on what I've read on this forum and others because I'm not telling someone anything they can't already learn for themselves.

But that's a long long way away from running a diesel business-- where you are taking MONEY for your expertise and people are placing their $$ trust in you, and you have to stand behind something.

Bravo to those guys who are out there making the diesel business prosper-- and may you trounce in friendly competition those knuckleheads who open a diesel business and haven't a clue as to what they are talking about.
