Securing a Tidy Tank
Just wondering what the best way to secure a 400L tidy tank in the back of a short box. I just bought the tank and haven't filled it yet. Originally I wanted to get a hard plumbed toolbox combo, but I didn't want to permanently loose that much bed space on a short box.
Right now I have it tied down with a 2inch wide ratchet strap. I don't know if I really trust the ABS plastic tie down cleats with all that fluid motion in the back of the truck.
Also a friend recommended putting some rubber between the tank and the box liner so it doesn't rub the line-x off, makes sense, so I will be doing that.
Any other suggestions or pictures would be great, thanks.

Beware of thieves
I'd also find away to padlock the tank to the bed. A plastic strap is an easy target to cut and remove. I once had my spare tire stolen from the back of my poor old 1977 Nissan PU. Only foundout about this when a police car pulled over to ask why I had a chain dangling under the bed where the tire was attached.

I would also find a way to secure it to the bed just for the sake of someone stealing it if not for safety.
I would hate to think where it would go in if you got into a serious accident or worse if you rolled your truck over.
If there were not tabs to bolt it down then maybe a strap that would encircle the tank and bolted to the bed, 4 small holes would not be so bad.
