Seat and interiors going to another supplier
My Autotech Daily reported today that the 2008 models are going to be sporting seats and interior systems made by different suppliers. Lear, which has been supplying Ram interiors since 1994 is being pushed out in favor of Johnson Controls and Visteon. This comes on the heels of a price dispute between Chrysler and Lear. JC will be doing the seats, and Visteon will be supplying door trim and cockpits.

Hate to see Lear loosing the contract, they where the big supplier for Ford Explorer and Dodge in the St. Louis area. Ford just closed thier plant and now Dodge is going else where... Hopefully this will allow Dodge to have some nicer seats, but it will put a huge hurt on Lear...
