Yeah you make anything pull with low gears.

I know a guy with a yoda 86, or 87 but it has a straight axle 4X4, 4 cyl. 5 speed, dana 70 chevy ton rear end flatbed 4:56 gears and pulls 14 round bales of hay on a 20 foot gooseneck with it.

I know, I know I need pics but I'm only on here at work so I ant figured out how to post pics from work yet.

CUMMINS HAVE PULLIN POWER, Flowerjokes don't and thats how it's been for a long time and I don't see that changin.

And if not, hey you just blew $50K+

I like to gamble in $20 poker games, not with my trucks. The gamble will pay off if the truck will run like they claim, but we have heard that story before too.

the new 6.7 cummins will blow that thing away. lets see cummins made more power out of their little 5.9 I6 than ford could make out of their 7.3 and 6.0 v8. now cummins comes out with an even bigger 6cyl that is making less hp and torque than the smaller 5.9, i really doubt the new ford 6.4 is going to keep up with the 6.7 in the horse power race.

Wow, 7 speeds coming to eh? Well that will help out in the narrow RPM band that the current 6.0 can handle to actually get you up to speed. Wow, Tow ratings. Everything looks sooooo good on paper doesn't it? Come on, be a guinea pig for us and lets see how much you can spend..

Why are you cross posting so much??

Actually, depending on ratios, it may make the 4.88 axle gearing livable on the highway.

Hey guys, BROKER is right, we have really fallen behind. The new Fords raise the bar so high DC will probably lose a ton of market share. As the Rams disappear forever and the Fords increase, eventually being the only truck sold, our trucks will be the only CTDs left.

At auction I expect to make a million on mine, maybe 2.

If it wasnt for the first year truck, and probably being way over 50 grand, I think they look good and I would own it. The 450 with the fender flares in the front and 19.5 tires looks awesome. If they put a cummins in it, no doubt about it. I still will look forward to my 07 on order. The tow ratings do change with gear ratio's. I wish they would offer a seven speed manual for our trucks. The G56 needs one more overdrive. Dont knock it yet. Plus I think calling it an 08 will be less confusing if you ever want aftermarket parts and accessories. My 02 dodge 2500 is not the same as the 02 1500. Most people are confused on the new and old bodystlyes. Now my 07 truck is coming with the 5.9 and not the 6.7. 07 or 07.5 will confuse many more people. They should just call the 6.7 cummins the 08 to make it less confusing.

Well the software here is not very up to date as to what I'm used to. But show me how to drop in some pictures and I will. This is not a bash either..

If Ford & International dont have this engine right......then they are both done...

Look , lets see who has the best design on the DPF . That will be the real story.Lets face it, Duramax had the best motor until the new regulations take effect. The common rail was the key with 4 valve design.Everyone else followed. Now Ford has it , so we will see how they interpreted how it should work.

The Hydraulic assist is not rated in the TQ specs either.

Now Ford has what? A twin setup that melts the paint off the hood?

for the price and reliability Id rather drop an extra 20-30K and get a International CXT
@ least they have a proven engine..
and like a 12,000 lb payload, plus they tow 20 tons
oh, and its a dumptruck
lol

I didn't check specs, but is this new F-450 larger than the F-350's like the current offerings?

I don't care for the front end very much, I like the '07 much better. I really like the 19.5" wheels. Those should be a option on all duallies!

Is it a fact that Dodge, will, in reality, step up?

They haven't shown a real desire to compete in the heavier market.

But if they could see the writing onthe wall, they would recognize the trend is to larger, not smaller, RVs and trailers.

They should skip straight to something rated for 25,999 GCWR and some seriously high GVWR.

Of course, that means they might have to --GASP!-- innovate instead of recycle K-car leftovers.

It frustrates me that Dodge could compete-- and win-- in this market, yet they don't even seem to have the desire to.

The 6.7 is more than up to medium duty requirements (as will the new tranny, most likely), so all they need to do is get a decent chassis and suspension and interior and they are set.
