Radiator Cleaner

Radiator Cleaner
A few days ago, I posted on another thread about the slight overheating problem I was having. I wasn't bad, but noticable. Flushing the backside of the radiator with a water hose brought the temps back to where they had been for a long time.
Well, if a little flush is good........more is better!
I rigged up the little hose connection below to get to the parts of the radiator I couldn't reach with the hose and to get to the two other radiators where I couldn't get the hose in. I didn't get as much junk out as I did right in front of the fan, but I did get quite a bit more and it brought the temps down a few more degrees. If you drive off road or in dusty conditions, you might want to try this. I am going to add a 90* connector to make the water hose easier to handle.

Had to build something like that the other day to rinse the tractor radiator with. Disking/drag mixed with blown hydralic hose on the accumulator makes for a great mess. Would not hardly idle without overheating.
Think I'll remake it a little more like yours. Lots nicer it seems.

Makes for good fishing though.

I crimped the end and bent it over to an angle. I had to use a screwdriver to open it back up a little. It takes very little water to get good pressure. The first time, I crimped the end and cut a slit with a hacksaw, but I like it this way better.
