Punk New Diesel kid at school
Well where do I begin, there is this complete jerk at school that not so many people like, Well his parents originally bought him a 2000-2003 V6 Mustang, well all of a sudden he gets a diesel urge and trades that in on a 2002 CTD with 70,000 on it and about 6 inches under it, they gave him 10,500 on the stang and he paid an extra 16,500 on the truck, thatd right, $27,500. So he over-paid alittle bit. But back to the story he comes in bragging and braggin about this truck and tells me, "oh man, this is the biggest diesel dodge makes, its the big 5.9".... I just laughed in his face and said they are all 5.9s, except the new 6.7 which we havent seen yet, anf that Cummins makes it, not Dodge.
To make a long story short, its a 6-speed and he grinds almost every gear, cant shift under 20 seconds between gears and just is a all around EDIT about it.
My question is, why is it spoiled brats get these nice 24Valves and CTDs when I am struggling to get a 12V with over 100k? OH well, such as life, Its gunna feel alot better when I pay this thing off, not having it given to me....

my dad bought me 2 new trucks(02 f250-04f350) while i was in highschool as long as i worked, had good grades, and followed the normal rules. he had me and my brother start at the age of 6 and 7 string up barbed wire fence and did it till i was 16 wth no pay. he made us work every daywhen we got out of school, every weekend and holiday, when all the other kids were playing video games and sleeping.it mad me mad and i got in alot of trouble when kids would say , o dady bought you that and you dont have to pay for nothing.

Sounds to me like you are jealous of him, when you complain about your truck. Just be happy for him and help him learn how to take care of it, how to shift it properly, what additives to use, ect. Tell him about getting a fuel pressure guage, and help him install it. Having your nose out of joint because someone else may have something better than you is a waste of time, and very distructive to the soul. Be thankfull for what you have and stop being jealous of what other have. You'll never get anywhere like that.
He is the new kid to the school so he doesn't know the rules / customs you do. I'll tell you the sooner you loose the attitude the farther you will go in this world. Life is not about what happens in high school. Trust me.
I drive a "99" cause I want to, not because I have to. I could drive any truck made. I choose to drive a "99" because I've owned it since new and it runs and looks as good today as the day I bought it, accually better. IMHO

As funny as that is mikmaze no one here on this website would have liked to have someone tell them something that will hurt the vehicle. Everyone comes here for advice. I agree with Geico266 give him a hand it will also help you to learn more about these trucks and you never know you might even get a good friend out of it.

pardon me for not agreeing on the "help him out" theory here, but we don't know the kid or his attitude either?................ I get a little irritated sometimes to see people in this world who have all kinds of stuff & don't really work for it, & it seems like the harder I work the farther behind I get?? but I am very thankful of the things I have, I have probably more than anyone could ever ask for, & to some what I have is probably nothing at all, but I appreciate it & am thankful everyday for it, so just hang in there & keep on keepin on & you'll have the 12-v you want soon enough, & then spank his 24-v real good for him & you'll feel all better , you might find the right time to give the guy a chance, but some jerks are just that, nothing you can do to change it, let us know when ya find the 12-v you're lookin for, Dusty

Theres a guy here like that we call him tex..he drives a P-Stroker that has a 6 inch lift, a winch, obnoxiously big tires, nerf bars in every imaginable place, and the thing has never seen dirt, and I think its seen the repar shop more than anything....whats the point of having that big of a truck, if you arent gonna take it to the mud? Sheesh..

Dunno if I'd let him fill my tank, may fill it with Premium since the biggest engine dodge makes needs it
Why should you respect your truck, because you earned it, nobody else. I have an 0ld moto 4, 4 wheeler, built in 1985, yes it's 21 years old. Thing runs great, nobody knows why I don't sell it, one I wouldn't get much and 2 it's tough as nails. Be glad you earned your truck, know how to drive your truck, fix your truck and all that. When people say things they don't know, just laugh inside, you'll get more of a kick that way

I'm sorry if I came off as just being jealous about it. But the matter of the fact is, he is a jerk, has been since 8th grade, he is a Junior, I am the senior. Its just hard to like someone who knows nothing about the truck he just got and already makes outrageous claims about pulling some of the other trucks in the parking lot..... Example- Ford F350,10 inches, 38 boggers, 460 BB with air lockers front and back and 1500 lbs of tractor weights..... This kid has had the CTD for a week, all stock with exception to the lift.
Anyway, I'm done ranting, also, Texaspower, Atleast you worked hard, this kid barely lifts a finger....
ANYWAY, going to look at a 95 and drive it wednesday! wish me luck
