I can see Ford saving a bunch of money on warranty claims now, dealers are voiding warranties on all diesels because they see the "daisy" burn pattern on top of the pistons.
Ford engineers meant to say the size of the daisy patterns, larger the pattern equal more fuel and indicates a tuner was installed.

driving style will also change the "flower" pattern. heavy foot all the time is going to pour in more fuel than a grandma type driver, changing how the pattern will look, and if you get some egr malfunctions, then it can also change...

so if they have a turbo failure, they are going to pull an injector to check the pattern to see if they will warrenty it?

I wish they would of named the 6.0 somthin other than "Powerstroke", its giving the 7.3 a bad name.

Call the 6.0 anything ya want, I think it is a piece of junk.
