as of tonight he has not replied to the paypal claim, his phone is still disconnected. we'll see what pans out.

like i said im not certain if i been scammed...but he gave me the run around already...and now he is impossible to get ahold of. i will not put his name out there to defame him if this happens to just be a misunderstanding, or he has has some serious and legit reasons for his actions (or lack thereof)

i sent the paypal claim just as a way to make him prove it was shipped...and he hasnt replied to paypal so he hasnt checked the email yet

Hate that sour taste. I have done business with several members on here without a hitch, but then I tried to help a member out that was caught up in the hurricane problems and needed a trailer hitch fast to get his RV evacuated. I sent him several hundred dollars worth of merchandise but his check never showed up and phones numbers and e-mail address no longer valid of course. Took a few months of the wife makin fun of me to admit he actually stiffed me and that there was just not a mistake in the mail system.

my adkins lil 55 was supposed to ship last friday, but on tuesday i called the guy and he finally answered his phone, and told me they shipped that morning. he still hasnt sent my tracking number, and 3 days later the package still hasnt arrived. he is only in kentucky so 3 days fed-ex or UPS is enough time. today i attempted to call him only to find out his cell phone is not in service anymore.

hopefully paypal completes their investigation within 30 days and i get my $1200 back

I ahve got scammed and used paypal to get the money back. But it took like 2 months for the investigation to conclude...and thats with me calling paypal once to twice a week....Jamie

I hope things work out for you. On the bright side , at least 2 or 3 other guys have not chimed in and said they bought the same turbo and are waiting for UPS!

getblown5.9,
If this deal does fall through, definitely PM his name and username to us Ohio/KY guys, if there's any way we can help. You could also call J.R. and see if he knows the seller? If this guy was the original purchaser of the turbo, J.R. might know him.
Also check out kydtr.com - he may be on there, as well...

Chris

Do you have his full name and what city/town he lives in? If so, check whitepages.com or any similar site. If he's not listed, call someone near his location with the same last name. They might know him.

"Yea, we went to school together and I'd love to give him a call and see what he's been up to."

"he seems like a nice guy and knew what he was talking about with the turbo..."

Unfortunately, every con-man who's every conned anyone out of anything "seemed like a nice guy". Otherwise he couldn't con anyone. More times than not, when someone is arrested for child abuse, " he seemed so nice and was the youth director at our church." Murderers are said to be such a nice person I don't believe he could have done such a thing. Remember Ted Bundy? How 'bout the Son of Sam? Always be on the look out for the proverbial "wolf in sheep's clothing". If you judge a book by it's cover, you're only setting yourself up for the worst. Hopefully this time won't be what you suspect and your parts will arrive.

We can take a little trip if you don't mind a pit stop in Illinois while I look up the guy that scammed me and several other people on E-Bay...

I wonder if the member here IS him and the brother you spoke to also IS him? Sorry to be so untrusting. I was married to a witch for eight years. Shell shock ain't stink compared to what I have.
