Angry Parking lot damage.

OK
here I was yesterday at 6:30am at the base gym working out. I parked my truck out in the north 40, far away from the crowd as usual. At 8:45am, I returned to find a 12" long to the primer/into the metal gouge, (2) 4-6" scratches that were to the primer and scuff marks in the bed panel just before the wheel well from some jerk who obviously parked to close to my truck and tried force his way out with his door!!! And of course, no contact information was left at the scene. I was SOO freaking . I wanted to that someones head into the ground. Needless to say, I was all day. I contacted the base rental cops to come out so I could file a report and when the officer saw it he said "Man this happens all the time, but this is the worst he'd seen yet". He provided me with sympathy and promised to quickly process my report so that I can discuss with legal as what the process is going to be to get it fixed.
I just dont understand how someone can damage another person property and not be man enough to say I did it, it was my fault, what can I do to fix this problem? It just goes to say what the world is going to.
I'll take pictures this afternoon.

Man that sucks. Go hunting for someone else with damage that matches yours and !

Here's a good one for you. My wife's little subaru forester (45 more payments to go) was parked in the driveway in front of my equipment trailer when I got home today. I backed in behind it, and kept getting out to check how much room I had. I left about a foot of clearance between my hitch and her bumper, and then decided to pull her car up about a foot. **** subaru has this auto trans shifter with all these little slots and zig zags to go from park to drive. I moved it up, and put it back in park. So I thought. Took my foot off the brake and started to get out of the car. It started driving backwards. I tried to get my size 12 workboot back in there, stomped the brake AND the gas pedal, and put a big pintle hitch right through her rear bumper. THROUGH it. I'm trying soooo hard to be a good husband, and not use language that I shouldn't, and not break or stomp things when they need a good stomping, but man that was really trying on my nerves! Whew.

I hate parking lots, I try to do my best to avoid them. Take the old ladies vehicle when ever possible. When i do have to go to a parking lot, i will drive the entire lot and check out the seen and plan my parking accordingly. I will try to anticipate whether or not the area will become more busy as the day progresses and in the winter i will park next to snow banks when possible so they will give me some protection. I am very **** about where i will park, and if i dont feel comfortable leaving my truck in the lot, i will drive to someplace esle and walk to where ever it may be that i am going. Everyone hates me for it, but to this day, knock on wood no reported door dings or scratches.

Three days after I bought the truck in my sig i was driving throgh town on lunch one day on a fairly busy street. I was approaching where I needed to turn off for food and right before i got to the road some guy in a Dakota pulls out of a side streetright as i went by. He tagged my right rear wheel and tire and only left a little scuff on the tire but i got both his head lights, hood grill and one fender. Yeah i ran on top of it, he must have hit hard enough that my truck drove up on it. It was clearly his fault and he admitted to it too. The funny thing was he looked and saw me before i got to him and then just gassed it out in to traffic before i went by. I was mad that he hit me but i was happy that his truck got eaten my my tire.

I attempted to washed the truck up yesterday before it got too cold (water had started to freeze on the body as I washed) and all I could see was scratches and that gash in my qtr panel!! I tried to remove as much of the scuff marks as I could but because some of them are into the primer I'm S.O.L. I"m still !! As for the wifes vehicle, (Black 02 Audi A4) she has so many door dings and scratches that it would'nt sell at a corner scratch and dent sale. My wife for some reason has this thing for needing to park as close to the front door of the store as possible , then when her car gets dinged or scratched all I hear is can you get that fixed for me? And I'm like where is all this money going to keep coming from? As it stands, I could have had her entire car repainted for as many times as it's been touched up. And she then wonders why when it's time to sell or trade her vehicles in she can't get full value for it.

Don't you just HATE that?

Last week (2/9), I am walking to my truck after work and I notice something underneath it. It is my grille - and the top corner of my hood and fender are bent. CRAP! The idiot driver didn't leave a note or anything. Luckily, the cameras at work caught the culprit. It was a semi trying to make a tight U-turn in the parking lot. I think I am close to having the trucking company insurance pay for the damage.

Put it to them when it comes time for the repair. Make sure and get the highest quote possible. Unfortunately, no cameras in the lot I was in so I'm S.O.L. I've spent sometime at the Boeing defense plant in Anaheim off of 57/91 very industrial area, hit and run driver got me there when I was in a rental car. The car was damaged while I was buying some stuff from the folks at Trinity Racing.

OK true story. Many years ago when I was younger and had a bad temper.... I had just had my 280ZXR limited edition repainted complete with the vinyl racing stripes down the side. The paint was less than 3 days old when I decided to go to Kmart for something. I parked away from the store and had the curb against the passenger side.

I do my shopping and come out of the store to see this rather large woman leaning against my car and rubbing my paint. Upon my approach she smiles and says "It's only a little ding and not that bad" and proceeds to walk away with her friend. This lady had flung her door into mine and created a 2 inch long gash through the racing stripe and down to bare metal.

I smiled, got in my car, started the engine and watched her and her friend walk into the store. Upon them disappearing from my view, I promptly got out of my car, shut my door, leaned against my door and proceeded to kick in the side of her car. I thought to myself "It's only a little dent and not that bad".

I got in my car and smiled all the way home

looking out for you guys

before i had either of my CTD's my wife and i were sitting in the wal-mart parking lot (just sitting in the car before we went in) saw a large x-cab dually ram pull into no mans land so his truck would be "safe" the driver went in the store then out of nowhere an f-150 slammed into it! the best part NO DRIVER! we hopped out and ran over, i looked back where the ford came from and an van full of mexican scrambled back in and drove off (couldn't get the licence plate) they hit the ford and got it rolling. So my wife and i seeming to be the only ones that cared took down all the licence plates we could and went in to have people paged. when we came back out the ford was gone... i spotted the driver of the Ram walking to his truck and said "hey, that your truck?" about the same time he saw the damage, i thought he was gonna attack me as i asured him i didn't do it, but got the licence plate of who did and by the way the cops are on the way! well needless to say we were best friends. the cop got there and started to say that wal-mart security camera's didn't cover that part of the lot and nothing he could do.... "but officer i have the licence plate number" to his great surprise. he sent an officer to the residence and told him to tell the owner "you can drive to the station behind me or ride to the station behind me" sorry it was long, but it made out week! i just can't believe people just leave like that!

I bought my truck on a saturday at about 4:00 PM got home with it at about 8:00 PM, went to bed.I parked it in the church parking lot across the street from my house which is where I parked my old truck at for three years. My girlfriend and I got up sunday morning we were sitting on the couch watching tv about the same time church was letting out when we heard a crunch. She got up and looked out the window and said someone just hit your truck. I thought she was just messing with me, you know being a new truck and all.I looked out the window, saw she wasnt kidding. I got up to put my shoes on and opened the front door to walk out to talk to this lady and as soon as I got out the door she jumped in her car and took off.Lots of people standing in the lot that went to church with her but didnt know who she was.I jumped in my truck after I picked up the peice of her headlight she left behind and chased her down. When She stopped in front of her house I jumped out and asked why she took off. She told me that she didnt even hit it. I then handed her the peice of headlight that was missing from her car and she started crying. She finally did admit to it but I only got half of the repair bill from her then she moved. Sorry this was so long, did't realize how long one of my rants can go on for.
