parafin???

Read a post earlier today where someone mentioned higher power output fuel generally had a higher parafin content. First off is this tru? second how hard would it be to add parafin to the fuel as an enhancement? I know parafin is readily available at craft stores as candle wax & I imagine it would go ino solution in the diesel fuel at a high rate if given a little warmth and then stay in suspension in the tank once it moves around and dilutes into the rest of the fuel. Any chance this would work? Yes I relaize it would be a warm weather only additive as gelling could be a winter problem.

All diesel fuel contains paraffin which will precipitate out at lower temperatures.
It's the wax that clogs your fuel filter in cold weather, and is tough to dissolve.
I think you would have a hard time getting it to stay mixed and would run into a world of trouble if you added it.
Don't get confused by what you read, in England kerosene or #1 diesel is called paraffin.
Paraffin also provides much of the lubricity in diesel fuel and is removed inadvertently in the sulfur removal process.
