The bc/cc the clear coat is your shine as well as protection from fading. Single stage paints are fine in certain circumxtances but they dont hold up well. They do make clear for acrylic enamal and it works great, but if you are going to use a clear might as well do it with bc/cc. Under most circumstances you'll be a lot happier.
