Oil Experts Needed!
I'm looking at the specs of some gear oil and was wondering what some of this gibberish means. Hopefully someone could shed some light:
Viscosity:
cSt@40°C
cSt@100°C
SSU@100°F
SSU@210°F
CP@-12°C
CP@-40°C
Of course the 5 different available gear oils all had different numbers in those places. Thanks in advance for any input on what this means!

Re:Oil Experts Needed!
Not an expert but here goes........

cSt-centistoke = Kinematic viscosity, the measured amount of time needed for a fixed volume of oil to flow through a capillary tube at a certain temperature. Also the most adopted method use by the petroleum industry.

SSU-saybolt seconds universal (US method for measuring the cSt)

cP-centipoise (absolute viscosity) The resistance encountered when moving one layer of liquid over another. Also.....cP = one-hundreth of a poise.
