Actually as long as the unit was going straight it should track like doubles or triples. If the axles are aligned it should be perfect. Off-tracking in turns is the problem. The longer the vehicle the greater the off-tracking in a curve or turn. It could use steerable axles to counter this effect.

On February 18 2006 John Atkinson jumped into the cab of his Mack Titan prime mover near Clifton in southern Queensland, Australia and drove it for 100 meters.
Now driving a truck 100 meters is hardly a feat, but we need to take into consideration the fact that he was towing 112 trailers measuring 1,474.3 meters or 4,836 feet 11 inches, which gave John Atkinson the honor of driving the world's longest road train.
