hello first post-going to pick up a 2001 2500 diesel today any tips haven't seen it yet but pics are nice what should i look for?? it has 135k mi. on it and i've never had a diesel before. i's a automatic trans and looks good by the pics so going to check it out later today the financing is allready set-up so hope it is a ok cond. have a lot of questions about what mods i can do to it for gas mi. and performance and can i run other fuels in it and what kinds? ralph

 

Welcome to the wonderful world of owning a Cummins. I will be the first to say I don't really like autos, but manuals aren't for everyone. If I were you I would just start reading threads and picking up on the diesel lingo. And for your questions about fuel mileage and power, it all depends on your budget and how much you want out of your truck. I will be the first to warn you that it is addictive, it all starts with exhuast and the next thing you know you are hooking sleds or drag racing. Have fun and enjoy.
