No i'm not on drugs.

I've been researching a better pump and have found it! 95-150 GPM.

http://www.dieselpp.com/ Click on the flashing "NEW PUMP" link at the top of the page. For "94-02". You can down load installation instructions that look pretty easy or I'm sure you could have a local shop install it for you. NO MORE DEAD LP's! YAHOO!

Around $386, 4 year warranty, 600,000 - 800,000 mile life expectency. Backed by the people who build the FASS systems, but this one does not have the filters.

I know what I'm gonna ask Santa for!

by the looks of it, it is a FASS pump turned on its side with no filters... should be a good unit.

My FASS system just came in today (thanks Harry @ Piers!) and I look forward to installing it and will have much more confidence in the fuel system. But it's just another electric fuel pump. Hopefully a much better pump in a better system better suited to the need, but any buzzy little 12V electric pump that runs hot to the touch is going to be seen by me as a weak point.

Yep! I'm gonna get one in the spring. I just put on a new stock LP so I'll get my money's worth out of this one first, but after 10K miles and when the weather is warmer I'm installing a FASS II for sure!

Wanna buy a slightly used fuel pressure gauge?

what would you guys think of installing one of those on the frame rail...and just disconecting the stock one, leave it there, incase of emergency....

would it push thru the stock one if the stock one was just disconected (power wise, fuel lines still connected), but still inline...

I think you would have to remove the stock LP, cut off the bango bolt and just run the fuel line to the new end. Fuel flowing through the stock LP could be restricked, but I'm guessing.

I'm with you, I think that is the way to go!

Who's getting 600k-800k ? That is what the manufacturer rates it's expected life at.

Willysrule, the "FASSII" comes as a kit that mounts with it's own custom bracket under the bed just in front of the fuel tank. It replaces the stock fuel line from the tank to the filter canister, and eliminates the junk stock LP. I'm going to save mine, but really don't think I'll ever need it The only other thing you should do is make up a bigger line from the filter to the VP. I'm keeping my fuel pressure gauge, so my big line has a npt port in it for that also.
I'll post pics and new fuel pressures when I'm done with the install.

cool, please do as I'm looking into changing the fueling on my truck too...I was just pondering the idea of leaving the stock on there for emergencies or what not.....
