New 6.0 troubles..with a pic ;)
My wife was looking out the window and said, "look there's a new Ford being towed". I looked and noticed it was a neigbors new 6.0 ...grabbed that camera and took a pic. It's not a great pic, but I think you get the point. He was pulling his TT too.

No, that's not it; they seem to be pretty well off. It was the local Ford dealer doing the towing too....and here in Utah, there would be no repos on Sunday. I think the tow truck took the owners and the trailer back to the house, and took the truck to the dealer. It's too bad really.

I also must stand. Only two blocks, it died right in the middle of a busy intersection, one lift pump later and it was all better.

I think Ford has a good foundation in those trucks. Give it a few years to see if Ford can work out the issues in the new design... time will tell.
Until then, I'll keep motoring down the hi-way in with my Cummins. ;D
Be carefull where you place your pride, some day, one of those 6.0's may be pulling you or me home.

I will also stand up even got to know the tow truck driver, he hauled on a Monday and week 1/2 later had to haul again, he said, Didn't I just haul this truck last week? well yes you did. :'( I traded for a new one. The old one was 99 w/ major computer problems causing several other problems and I did not want to deal with problems. Dealer would only fix the symptoms and said the computer was causing but DC would not warranty as they could not identify the problem from the computer, long story. Ended up w/ a 02 HO 6 speed and happier anyways.

Hey, give the guy a break. He has plenty of money and no time.

1) He had the truck hauled to the dealer to change the oil and a wash job.
2) He had the trailer towed in for detailing and shampoo the carpets.

See, now wasn't that simple? :-* ;D 8)

KeepingItSimpleBob

I can only stand up cuz my wife put unleaded in the tank . Otherwise, no problems with my Cummins. I also have a 7.3 PSD. No problems with that, either....
Hmmm. At least when one breaks, I can probably tow it with the other! Good thing I got gauges in my Cummins, cuz a dollar to a donut says my 12v will be towing the PSD!
;D

You hate to see anybody who puts out the kind of cash that is required to get one of these (diesel) trucks have a problem, regardless of make. I love to put it to the Ferd and Chubby guys, but I consider it a friendly rivalry, kind of like me poking fun at the U of M Wolverines. (Me being an MSU Spartan) I really hope that Ford can get the bugs worked out of their new power plant. Healthy competition raises the bar, and improves things for everybody.

JMHO DeWain
