Navistar considering selling out .
Just read this on a "Light and Medium Truck " newsletter . Navistar is financially hurting and considering selling out . That's a shame . International makes good trucks . 10 to 1 some foreign company will buy them. If it was Volvo it might be a good thing . They made real improvements in the Macks . I drive a 2005 Mack tractor and like it bettery then the Freightliner Columbia I came out of . 2003 and 2004 Macks were junk though .

I don't know about selling out, but they are about to be delisted from the NYSE. There have been a couple of little blips about it on Nightly Business Report the past couple of nights.
I wonder how much of a drag the sick liter business is on their bottom line?

Actually I haven't heard too much complaining from my International dealer about the 365s running around here. If I remember correctly there were some mods done to it for ford that were causing most of the problems, but I cant fully recal that.

Apparently the sellout was a joke by the CEO, but they are being delisted for being late on financial statements (sounds like Enron ).

Wow. That is some serious stuff in the Chicago Financial article.
Hate to see any good company loose thier position in the NYSE, but if there were suspicians of compromise accounting-wise, why didn't someone take care of this long ago?
This is well beyond any engine platform issues.
