Mr Goerend not home?

Hey guys,

I've been trying to get a hold of Dave through email (trying to avoid long distance charges) and I can't seem to get a response from him or his work. Is he away from home, or is he that busy usually he can't answer emails? Should I try calling his number instead of emails?

Thanks!

Yes, call first thing in the morning before he gets cranked up. I would get him just about everytime then.

very tough guy to get to talk to. Don't give up though because his products are worth the wait.

Well, I don't think I'll be worrying about a Torque Converter right now for my 99. Today on the way home from work my tranny really started acting funny. It shakes and bucks every so few seconds cruising down the highway. The temp runs about 80+ degrees hotter than usual cruising temps. I also have something getting into my oil, just not sure whether it's coolant or fuel (oil sample was sent out today). I have also been watching my oil level and I drained it down to the full mark saturday. Today it is about 1inch over the line. I think my thought of saving up for a new truck that is SRW, ext cab/4 door, 2500 has come sooner than I thought.

Don't get me wrong, I love this truck. But to do all these repairs (needs u-joints, tranny mount, engine mounts, front control arm bushings, pinion seal, list goes on) and the body is pretty crummy. I might as well save all of that money, and put it into a new (used) truck. Just not sure if I'm going to get a 2nd gen or 3rd gen (03-04)...

Emailing Dave is like sending him a letter. He'll answer your email after recieving it a couple of days later. If you need his number let me know and I will PM it to you. Its the best way to contact him

I'm still deciding what generation I want to get (if I can even get a diesel). Funds are a little low right now from being laid off back in December and January. I have a meeting with the bank for a vehicle loan on Friday, so I'll have to see how much, if any, they are able to hand over.

But if I am able to purchase a Diesel 2500, are the 3rd gen (thinking 03-05) that much better than the 2nd 24 valvers?
