Before I bought my Dodge I thought Powerstrokes were pretty awesome too. I really loved my Ford but couldn't force myself to buy a 6.0. Now I know what I was missing. Anyone who honestly thinks that the average Powerstroke is better, stronger, or longer lasting than the average Cummins is seriously misinformed. I'm not saying Dodge makes a better truck, just that Cummins makes a better engine.

P.S. I once went to a Ford forum and they kicked me off for talking about Cummins. Apparently they are very sensitive about that subject.

Missing the point. Analogy does work. Speacking of volume, not cost.

yeah they don;t really get the whole picture... pretty much any ford person i talk to always try and compare their newer and modded trucks to my dads stock '93 and its jsut like "don't you get that jsut because your truck is newer means its better than my dads old engine or even the new ones!"

Was over at the dieselplace saturday. They had a poster there wanting to know the difference between the Cummins and the new duramax. I was surprised by there comments! They said the cummins is better but what makes the duramax is the allison tranny. Some guys started shooting there mouths off at dodge and then some replied they were talking ENGINES, not trucks. They shut up real quick. They really respect us cummins owners better than the ferd guys over yonder.

Gotta go

dieseljonGonna see what trouble is happening on over at dieselstop
