the LS1 forum's opinion of the "diesel fad"
Hey guys check this out, several of my friends at school run some late model LS1 camaros and Trans Ams, and sent me this. I just put headers on for both of them and they are running about 12.4s in the 1/4. Very fun cars, but I'm amazed at how people everywhere talk about stuff they really don't know about, and I like how they say how it's a waste of money and not needed to buy a diesel truck, but last I checked my truck has room for all my stuff, 5 or 6 people, can tow whatever i need it to, and get decent gas MPG, while all they can do is go fast, but they are fun. I just can't wait till one of us roasts one of those guys on the highway, not that they'd ever mention it. Let me know what ya'll think

its funny that one guy argued about a truck weighing 9000 lbs. My truck weighs 8200 lbs and it's pretty stock. Call me crazy but I don't think that it would take much to get it up to 9000.

I started to register but decided it wasn't worth the trouble. I use my 7116 pound Quad Cab 4X4 to tow my 87 Buick T-Type that runs 11s and has never had the valve covers off the engine, I also use it to tow my 3 horse slant load horse trailer, and the best use of all, I use it to clean the plow of many a F-body and Mustang at the track as it runs high 12s, I have a much better resale than they do and the truck is much more useful than an f-body.
