The last year for the diesel Burb was 99. I think the Tahoe was the 4-door full size Blazer. It never came with a diesel. They quit making the 2-door Full size Blazer in 1994 (I Think). It had the diesel option. I'm pretty sure that the run of full size Blazers w/ diesels was from 1984-1994. There are some really good web sites on the 6.2/6.5. I think there may even be some links from this site. The 6.5 is not a Cummins and I wouldn't want it in a 1-ton truck, but in a Blazer or Burb I think they are an excellent choice. I'm sure there are people will tell they are a POS, but some will also tell you that about the Cummins. The US Army has a zillion of them in Humvees and CUCV's. The 20 years I spent in the Reserves I thought they held up really well for all the abuse they got. My wifes next vehicle will probably be a diesel Burb. I thought about doing a Cummins conversion. But she says my truck is too loud and for the service it would be used for I don't think it would be worth the time or trouble. Just my .03 .
