I am a San Jose Native, born there and lived there till I was the ripe old age of 7 Then moved north to the foothills Auburn Ca. Now living in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia.

We lived in a home on first street when I was real young and I can remember sitting on the curb watching those huge blimps come in and out of the airport all day long. Later we moved to a real nice part of town, I went to the Cupertino school district for kindergarten and First Grade.

I realize that San Jose is nothing now like it was back in the 50's when I was there, things have changed to a point I would not recognize anything at all. Ahhh the good old days... running through the sprinkler waiting on Mom to bring me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, climbing that big old walnut tree out back.......

When we are children we never realize just how good we have it

Lary you wouldn't recognize the city at all - it's changed so much over the years! I live in San Leandro and work quite a bit down in SJ (I'm in construction) and there's been several times that I've gotten lost due to the road changes and new buildings going up! LOL

This is just Downtown:
