average maintainance cost have dropped...
towing capability darn near doubled...what I used to be able to barely move, now I have to remind myself its back there...
I also live on a short budget, I looked at EBAY and the internet auto sales sites for about 6 months till I found one I liked in my price range...and it was worth the time and money fer sure....
