DB, just make sure you're getting enough tractor. That initial price of $26,000 sounded real high. Was that with a loader? Let me know what kind of prices you get, cuz, I know the dealer in my area (southeast Ohio). He too can do some great deals. Coming to Ohio may be worth your time to save you a few thousand bucks. Without reading all the replies, I'll jump in.

I have an L3000DT which I bought new in Oct 01 for a little over $11k, something like $11,200 or $11,400, I can't remember.

I couldn't be happier with it. I don't know how cold it would have to get for it not to start, but it starts easily at +10F, which is as cold as it's been when I needed to use it. It pulls a 6 ft. finish mower with EASE, in fact I used that mower to mow down a fescue field which was as tall as the hood. It hadn't been fertilized, so it wasn't all that thick, but the tractor went through it and never came close to loading down.

I have a 5 ft box blade that it pulls fairly well, but runs out of traction way before it runs out of power. Not being a hydrostat makes it somewhat more clumsy when grading.

It's quiet, comfortable, easy to operate, and uses maybe a gallon and a half of fuel per hour (that's just a guess--I've never checked it) when mowing.

I just wish it was paid for.

I have a B7100. Have had it 13 years now and bought it used. Have had no problems at all with this machine. I use it to mow, disc (a heavy disc, so I have to weight down the front) and push snow. Does a great job. Before, I had a Massey Ferguson 135, ford 2000 and a JD3010. The Kubota has been the most trouble free.

Well I'm not really a Bota man but, Here in the last couple of weeks I have been runing a L35 TLB, about 35hp. I do like it but it does have a couple of down sides. It has excellent hydraulic power, for runing the backhoe and the loader. But it does have alot of moving power. I mean when you go up a slight incline it will start bogging down. But I do like the little machine though. <br><br>On a side note, How many is goin to the farm show in Louisville Ky? I will be there and I would like to meet a couple of yall if this would be possible. <br><br>Yall have a good one.

Nothing at all wrong with Kubotas. But for another option, if you are willing to go with a gear transmission, the John Deere 790, 4 wheel drive is about the best bang for the buck. A bulletproof, proven design. No bells, no whistles, just all steel old school design and tough. 32 HP (pulls like a 40HP 2 wheel drive), with loader, about $15,000 new.

My friend had a B series (B1750?) about 6 years ago with the loader, bucket and belly mower. It was 4x4 with around 17hp.<br><br>Then he traded it on a smaller BX22. loader, mower and bucket around 22hp and 4x4.<br><br>I personally like the BX22 with it's smaller size and better hp to weight ratio and he does to. Tackes the same jobs as the bigger tractor in less time due to more hp on reserve.<br><br>very fun, maneuvarable, agile machine.<br><br>Only thing that I would consider is a smaller NH like the TC21D as it has a direct drive transmission (9 over 3) and attains a larger optional implement list (post hole digger, two bottom plow, cultivator, and such) that these smaller kubotas dont have.<br><br>Also like the fact the NH TC21D will allow the use of ground engaging attachments (plow, disc, cultivator) where real wheel and tractive effort is required. <br><br>I am in a toss up and next season I will be looking into the NH TC21D or K BX22 or K BX2200 in a little more depth. I am afraid the NH is going to be too much money.

We have A JD 4300, its 32 hp and i love. Its hydrostatic which works slick. It perfect for mowing the yard or loader work because there is no clutch, just two pedals, one for forward and one for reverse, and three sub ranges. Its got a flat operator station for comfort and even a cup holder! <br>Wes
