For that price; who ever sells the thing to you should come out and install it! Use the standard block heater and throw on a 250 watt oil pan heater for 50 bucks and you will have a winner for everything; your comfort, your trucks oil psi coming up sooner plus the heat rises, and your wallet.

I agree with the block/oil pan heater combo. They, along with running synthetic, will be all a person needs down to at least -40.
That'll get it running. I'm putting in a diesel fired coolant heater, (Mikuni MX-40), to speed up the warming process without waking the neighbors.
If it gets colder than that, find a nice corner to curl up in and weep...it'll be for the best...really.
