just a thought....used engine oil
hmm i got all this used black thick engine oil in my shed that i was looking to dispose of in the spring....BUT...what about possibly using it for some undercoating and coating certain hard to get places? (use a big paint brush)...maybe its atotal no-no and u guys will laugh...it just kinda popped in my head

Waste oil is full of chemicals and acids from the combution process and not a good idea to use as rustproofing.
Besides new engine oil is cheap.
I have heard that transmission fluid is much easier on rubber parts...but then again you can probably find "oils" that are rustproof specific.
Such as "Rust Check" or "Krown"

oh yeah i know i can get that done...heck for 95$ i can get the truck rust proofed...it was just thought...the whole rust proof oil is basically petroleum based in amuch thicker form...its just a much thicker WD40... ..

Or you could install a waste oil heater and have free heat for the garage/workshop. I have installed quite a few of those in the past couple months.....the oil change shops seem to be using their noodles now!
