Smile Just For Laughs

Thought this was funny. I was driving by a dealship today north of Pittsburgh Pa and there was a really nice 2006 Dodge CTD sitting on the lot right out front. I'm not looking for a new one but the dealer had in big yellow letters "CUMMINGS DIESEL" Nice job on the spelling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uneducated sales persons, pretty common really. It should be enough to make most people walk off the lot when you know more than the guy who sells the products for a living...........

Speaking of people screwing up spelling the name, I got me a magazine in the mail today for truck parts, and on the back it had a picture that read.
"1956 Peterbuilt
335 Cummings, 10 Speed"

Evidently very hard. The dealer I bought my 97 from couldn't spell it. The one I talked to before tried to stear me away from the 12v because I couldn't get one with a quad cab, and you can't get more power out of them...

Sounds about the same deal as here. At our in-town dealer, for a period of time they put Cummins window decals on their trucks but I figure someone must have got carried away and decided the hemi needed one as well. I should have got a picture for keepsake but I didn't think of it at the time.

I dont think the problem is people dont know how to spell cummins. I think they hit spell check when they are done and accept what it suggests.

The greatest thing I've ever seen is a Honda Civic with an F-350 superduty badge right next to the Civic badge.

Just for laughs, you need to go back to the dealer and tell him you'll give him a bonus of $1,000 if you can buy a truck with a Cummings in it.
