Its actually an A pump. The differences between a P and an A pump are very clear once you see one. Delivery valve holders and governer group are completely different on an A. No fuel plate either, turnup with a screwdriver.
Like everyone else said, most likely cause is the transfer pump. Although worst case could be an injector or a cracked barrel in the pump. It runs fine without any missing right?

If the haze disappears when its warmed up I wouldn't worry about it.

I agree fully, if it goes away within 30 mins then i wouldnt worry. Our 4840 had a turbocharger pushing oil, but it isnt a very common problem, so it might be that if the haze persists. One of my dads 4840's would push a blue haze until you put a load behind it and it ran good and did so until he traded it off a few years ago. Could be Rings. Oil Pressure's good right?
