January Truck of the Month Poll - 1st Gens!
January is the beginning of the new year, and at this time I think it's appropriate that we recognize the beginning of REAL diesel power in pickup trucks. So this month we have three 1st gens to pick from. I had a hard time narrowing it down to three, there were a lot of great trucks for me to choose from. I picked the three trucks I liked best, and I like each of them for a different reason. 92'1stGen is a classic W250 that looks like it came out of a time warp, when I see that truck it is 1992 all over again. chuck'64 looks like a towing monster - a D350 with a 5 speed and big mirrors (and I guess it doesn't hurt that it looks a bit like my truck). And 92smokin blacky, that truck is all about attitude, it is definitely a truck you either love or hate. Best of luck to all of you.
I wrote a novel this month!
Truck Of the Month Procedure
* Around the 1st of the month, we will post a thread with the winner for the previous month’s poll in the General Diesel Discussion section of the forums.
* At the same time, we will post a “TOM Candidate” thread in the same forum. In this thread we will announce the category of trucks that will be accepted as possible candidates. (1st Gen 250, 350, 2nd Gen 2500, 3500, 3rd Gen 2500, 3500, MegaCab, etc.)
* If your truck falls into the chosen category for that month and you would like to have a chance to be in the poll, then you can nominate your truck by posting a picture from your gallery in that thread.
* NOTE: The picture MUST come from your Diesel Truck Resource Member Photo Gallery! (Anything else will be deleted.)
* You can also list some of the mods and accessories on your rig in the same post. Please post only once in that thread. If your truck is not selected for the poll or it is but it doesn't win, you may nominate it again when your category comes back around.
* Previous Winners of the TOM will not be eligible to participate. (Previous Winner being defined as truck and/or DTR Member)
* The “TOM Candidate” thread will be open from around the 1st of the month until around the 14th of the month. That gives you two weeks to submit your truck.
* At this time it will be locked, the three poll candidates will be chosen and the poll will be posted on or around the 15th . The poll will be voted on until the end of the month and we start all over again on the 1st of the next month by posting the winner in one thread and posting the “TOM Candidate” thread for the next month's category.
Special THANKS to Tim Barber at TRE Diesel Performance for sponsoring the TOM Award plaques!

^I had the exact same problem. I dont have a program on my computer that would allow me to downsize the pics! Is there anyway down the road to have that section available to hold any size pic? Eitherway all the trucks are sweet! I think I am going to have to go with blacky! YOU HAD ME AT HELLO

Nice trucks guys!! hard deciding...
I am using windows with XP pro on it... if you have a simular setup, you can download a 'powertoy' from microsoft called 'imageresizer'. Running this installer places an option in the right click menu that when you select a picture or pictures, you right click, select resize images, select the size desired and finish and it resizes the pictures and places them in the same directory with a small, medium or large in the picture name (so you donlt overwrite the original.
I don't know that it works with vista or win7 - but this has been a snappy way to resize pictures for posting.
Link to powertoys page - look about 2/3'rds down on the right
