General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

I've heard people call 6.0s "Boat Anchors"...

That ice looks awfully dark right out in front of that ford, I'm not buying the story about his buddy dragging his fishing shack out there right before. Looks like a good start!

That ice out in front look very thin to be having even a 1/2 tom pickup on it let along a 3/4 ton with a diesel engine. I agree he should of pushed in in all the way.

I was ready to do that to my 04 6.0 before I traded it. Mine probably would have broke down on the way.

A Cummins would have powered him on through the bottom of that lake and out the other side with no problem.

The 1st picture it looks like he drove over a ice heave, basically a large crack in the ice. These areas of large heaves the ice can be very weak and should be avoided.

I've had a few problems with my 6.0. EGR valve, the solenoid for the turbo vanes, and 2 injectors in 4 years and 42,000 miles. Keith
