It's kinda funny
I was over at the thedieselstop.com lookin at some PDS stuff for a bud and to them 400 rear wheel hp is just the best thing since lunchables.I mean I laughed cause there people on here with daily drivers pullin 400Hp.
I mean I first in the 94-97s and then I went up the 99s and they still are in owe at anything obver 325.
Cummins all the way.

Heck, it cost enough to get to 400, and a ton more to get to 500. Anything over that and the block becomes a ticking time bomb. Or at least that is my opinion. It’s not as easy as a Cummins, by any stretch. There are a few making some good power, but the cost to do such, is way out there, I would need to win the lottery!

That's the difference between a light duty and a medium duty engine. The Cummins 5.9 was made to produce 500 hp, so it's no problem to tune it as such. The Duramax and PSD weren't designed for that kinda power or torque, so it takes more money to produce those kinda numbers. And even after all the mods, you've just decreased your engine's lifespan by about half.
I shoulda got a Cummins!

Being down 2 valves per cyl and 1 atmosphere of boost don't help Ought to compare the 7.3 PSD to the 12v Cummins - Apples to apples...
