Chevy/D-Max,Which will most likly be by next truck,or a older Chevy with a Diesel so I can drop in a 6bt Cummins. That is the only good thing about Dodge at the moment is the Diesel engine and tranny, the rest of the truck is crap, they start rustuing up to quick.

I picked a gasser pick-up. I'd probably go with a mid - late 90's 2500 set up just like how mine is now, minus the diesel engine. I'd go with a 360 v8, I had one before and it was a tough reliable engine for me. If i had to have a diesel then it would be a duramax or a 7.3 PSD (99-02), NO 6 Oh NO for me!

YEP, bought one the first year they came out. 99 4X4. Still miss that truck. Had a 92 (now Boatnik's truck), a 95, and now my 99. When the big C goes away, I won't have anything else diesel powered. Definately no MB diesel.

Just a little note, saw in a magazine a little article about the powerchoke, said it was plagued with problems. Since it came out Ford has release 77 bulletins on it(6.0L) whereas, Chevy Duramax had 8 and Dodge Cummins had 0. Do you need any more proof that the 6.0L is a doomed turd?? I like that zero after the Cummins though!!

That's like selling a hand grenade with the pin pulled.

I already have that. The mileage is horsefeed.

I'd buy a step van with a B3.9 or hold out for a Toyota diesel

I like my 12 valve more and more because its such a "character" engine. I can't think of many with as much personality as the Cummins.
Part of it is the sense of dependability it gives me. Of course then there is the truck itself, which I like a lot too, but only after I have up graded some things.

I like it a lot more than my '97 PSD for better mileage/ease of service.

I see some really nice looking Duramax trucks but if I had one I would feel nothing for the engine, no matter how well it worked- absolutly no character IMO.

That makes me pretty particular does'nt it....?

I love my Cummins, in my Dodge, but WOW!

Probably costs more than my house.
