Didn't read the whole article. I've known for a long time that diesel is a carcinogen. That's nothing new. The spin of the article is more of the same from a liberal media. Doesn't take a genius to figure out you shouldn't inhale diesel exhaust.... or gas exhaust... or exhaust from your chimeny, your furnace, your boiler..... etc. Feel sorry for the people who live that close to a highway though... the noise alone would drive me loony...

I personally think they should pass a law...before a reporter is allowed to report on some "sky is falling" news item, they must try it out and see how true it is...I think locking the reporter in a sealed room with a big ole' Cummins for 4 hours, would be well worth it.
Way I figure, either way they are going to do the "sky is falling" new story, but lets have them tell it from personal experience (with a nice 1/4" coating of SOOT on them ).

Many things we hear about on the news are partial truths. Remember the TV stations have their programing set up far in advance. They HAVE to find something to fill the time, and to attract viewers.
Consider this: "Regular naps prevent old age."----especially if you take them while driving. So the last 7 words add a different "spin" to the message.

This is only an issue if you live "in the state of California". Not sure why but California causes alot of cancer. Nevada and New Mexico had the nuclear testing sites but california got the cancer.
