I have been reading Ford sites

It seems that Ford is sick of all the problems with the 6.0. So they are recalling them and reflashing the computer. Ofcourse they are not telling the owners what the reflash really does. But everyone on the Ford sites are complaing after the recall their truck lost power. So it seems they are backing down the fuel pressure to save injectors. Anyone else read about this. Its funny hearing them complain. But sooner or later that truck will need to be dealer serviced and they are going to detune it. I wonder what the HP/tq ratings are after the flash

I wouldn't mind ownin a cummins powered truck. I like my Ford though. Guess when the time comes for my 1985 6.9 to give up the ghost I'll put the Big "C" in it.

Same thing on the LLY Chevy boards about Duramax overheating.

Chevy fix = replace '05 air box with '06 air box and reflash so that the coolant temp gauge reads ~210*... until the actual temp exceeds ~230*.

Whats that about? Havent read anything on that Lately. I hope that dodge doesnt have to do that with the new 6.7....I hate all this change

Oh and on a lighter note, my truck has been running on the ULSD and I had a friend get on it the other day while I was standing outside, and it is noticeably stock and it still smoked as bad as it did before. Not really smoke, but you can see it blow the stuff. I dont like the smell much though....

dc, reflashed the dashboard ecm to make the O/P gauge read a steady 40 psi. that isnt any better than an idiot light. so, if your o/p gauge is fluctuating, it may be better to leave it alone, and watch its swing, at least you have some indication, even if it is inaccurate.

The reflash may also pull timing from the engine for sake of their HORRIBLE head gasket problems. Nothing like having to pull the engine to stud it .

Right now it looks like its on the 03 6.0 only. They are recalling for corrision on a sensor. They reflash and drop the power on it. But I will keep searching for the recall info
