For the southern California here is a diesel truck only sales place. These guys sell to people in Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii and so forth......

Recently a guy at a local engine show wanted to buy my truck. I said it wasnt for sale, but that didnt matter, he was VERY eager and still kept askin.
I should have thrown a large number at him and watched where that went.

Stupid me, well maybe, but I remember how long it took me to find this truck let alone the 300 mile one way bus ride to get it. And IMO at a great price. I dont want to start CTD huntin again.

I see 3rd gens going for top dollars. I saw a dealer with an 03 2500 4x4 laramie with about 45k miles and they wanted over $30k. You can get a new one for not much more. Its crazy. I would like a 5 speed, but they are few and far between.

They are everywhere... Especially as you get out closer to the country.

When I sell my truck I'm taking it to Canada .

I've thought about buying some wholesale and trucking them up there...

Very true, the people that have them don't want to get rid of them and if they are they're certainly not giving them away.

Locally out here (Van Canada) words out on the Holy grail
Even 98 QC autos are going for the same or more than many 03s
I phoned on a 98QC 5speed 4x4 LB that was for sale a few weeks ago, they were asking 29k and when I phoned she said : Sorry its sold There seems to be a cult like following over them just in the last year or so? I have been looking for freinds and it seems lately only autos are coming up and if its a stick it was a Alta oil field truck ( we see alot of these flogged off over here)or just plain beat.
Sure glad I have one already

Funny how everyone says Cummins keeps its value, then as soon as it comes down to actual buying, people say "the price is too high, check kbb, etc. etc..."

i've been having a hard time selling mine. and you really don't see that many around here. 12valve or 24 valves, but 12's especially.

Most of the time here you see a Dodge it's got a CTD in it. 3rd gens are everywhere. Every once in awhile you see a 2nd gen 24v go up for sale. If you see a 2nd gen 12v, you blink it's sold.

Here in Texas they are everywhere. If you ever go to a pull or a meet in Texas, and I mean a general meet not just CTD, I would say the turnout is 95% Cummins. Mom lives in Cleburne, south of Ft. Worth, I have a blast in that town. All the welders working on the oil and gas lines have CTD's AND lots of money so they are turned up and tricked out, but no match for the Spaceship as I call it. All I have to do is buzz down main and Ill catch at least two or three red light races

Hey, if you're looking for some good music in Cleburne, check out my friend Ronnie Crecelius.

Here's him playing with Buddy whittington, one of the best living guitar players (currently on tour with John Mayall)

Friend of mine just bought another 12v. It was for sale for 2 days with $1000 (way too cheap) price in the window, guy thought it needed a motor, had a bad push rod.
